Charles Fowler stag handled knife with sheath by Sandy Morrissey!

For those who don't know Sandy - he's finally retired from leather work; something he learned to do as physical therapy after he was cut out of an airplane that "landed" nose down at an Airfield in Arkansas during WWII.

Over the years he became an outstanding leather worker!

I think this is my favorite. I love stag/horn/ivory handles and that is just beautiful!

I sent that roach belly knife to my daughter, but I liked the design so much, I made another one out of D2 for myself. This one is a tad longer with a thicker spine. It's out for heat treating now, and I haven't taken any pictures yet.

I think a couple of Bowies will be next. One medium sized for myself, and a full size Jim Bowie design (18") for a friend that I promised to make decades ago but never got around to it.

Attended the Dallas Gun and Knife Show two years ago. Didn't sell any knives but I did buy something "Special".

Gene Baskett is a very good custom knife maker from Kentucky. Gene is one of the pioneers of knife makers who use 1911 Stocks for knife handles. I have two of those (one, numbered "5" is his 5th one made; the other, with VZ stocks.

Two years ago I saw a hatchet that Gene made; with a very interesting handle; when closed the handle is 9-1/2"; expanded, 28". Gene used a police expandable baton for a handle. When I looked at it in Dallas and we reached a mutual agreed upon price; now the hatchet lives with me in Texas. Here are a few photos of it:
