I just keep my stuff in military ammo cans by caliber. Never thought about desicant, figured if it was good enough for the military it's good enough for me. Haven't had any issues with it.

Mix and match. Some in original boxes some bulked in ammo cans. Some cans have small silica gel bags some don't. All surrounded by large bags of dessicant. All kept in climate controlled environment. No problems to date.

I'm the same way. Mine is all reloads though except 223. I keep about 300 rounds of each caliber in those plastic ammo boxes for quick grabbing on range trips. I used to a full ammo can with me to the range reach time, but that got old really quick.

Ammo cans are great....I run into problems with extreme temp changes when I travel to SC and back. My trailer can be 130 degrees inside, then cools as I drive into nighttime, then hot again in the sun. Same on way home...ammo is ice cold then ends up hot during the drive. These are ten hour trips each way, causes all kinds of problems with condensation.

Yup, humidity sucks. Mine are in ammo cans with desicants in and out of the cans in a climate controlled room. I'm not taking any chances.

Especially if ya store long term. I mean....range ammo is gone and forgotten, but if ya keep inventory it's a different ballgame. I still have 9mm in white boxes marked $4.99, not even tarnished. Shoots like sh*t, smells like sh*t when ya shoot it, but it's shiny.

I store my ammo in 50 cal cans, by caliber with desiccant.

Keep mine in tupperware containers I stole from the pantry. I keep one for 9 and one for 45, the shotgun shells stay in a bucket inside the house where the kid can't get to them.
