Those new owners 'over there' also bought 2 websites that I'm a Mod at and they're going through the same ole BS as FCC is now .... not good. After doing research on them we found out that they've ruined quite a few site's with their lack of management skills, etc. and from sitting back and observing at FCC they're well on their way there as well ... what's sad over there is it seems the lower echelon of management has tucked in behind them !! :(

Forums are going the way of the Dodo. I used to be part of three or four them. Some closed down. Others went down hill from the original intent. This is the only forum I frequent and participate in.

If that's what's happening, then I think it's a mistake, especially with privately owned forums. With all the censorship and scrutiny etc. etc. on the main social media platforms, as well as boards owned by big corporate concerns (e.g. Vertical Scope), I appreciate the value of the community we find in a privately owned forum, which wouldn't face nearly any of that. Yeah, I know forums are Google searchable, but I need only be concerned with the owner and those policies.

I'd bet the majority of the FCC Mods wish they weren't either and it sounds as if a lot of their members feel the same as well. :(

Well, this morning I noticed the exodus has started. Exactly how it was at a couple of 'their' other newly acquired sites and not too long ago either .... disgruntled Mods/members who move over to a newly started forum and off and running the new forum goes.
A slow death for the established site but great for the new site.

BTW, best of luck to the new forum, you've seen first hand how NOT to run one.
