I have a 527 Varmint with laminated stock in .223. I love shooting that gun...high quality, and superb accuracy. It has a single set trigger which can be used either in "normal" or set mode. When set, it's a very crisp, light target trigger. Un-set, it's still a nice four pound trigger.

Another ground doggie bit the dust today with the Hornet. That set trigger is great!

I bought a 455 Varmint in 22lr not too long ago and I've been shooting it about every other day for the past month or so. Probably have close to 500 rounds through it.

One thing I dislike about it is the trigger. Pretty terrible in my opinion. It has a ton of creep and is pretty stiff. I ended up ordering a Yodave trigger kit for it, but it hasnt came in yet. Accuracy is so-so, but I'm thinking a lot will improve if I can get the trigger problem corrected.

Another thing I don't care for is that it won't eject shells 100% of the time. When I'm down on the scope, I don't like having to pull my head off to pick a casing out of the action.

And a little thing I don't like is that my factory may doesn't like to feed the last round. The round shoots up too high to hit the chamber. Not a big deal except when I'm trying to shoot for accuracy and I have to look up and take my finger and poke the nose of the round back down to feed.

No CZ rifles, Clyde, but my current project is my first AR style rifle. It is a DPMS Recon...

I hope to buy an Aimpoint Patrol Optic this week and a bipod soon after. In a couple months it will go off to Robar for the new Poly T2 and NP3 Plus treatment...http://robarguns.com/poly_t2.html

I promise no new gun projects this year. I promise no new gun projects this year. I promise no new gun projects this year.....

interesting. I have not used eley in a few years. I ended up returning my 455 thumbhole varmit to cz. The single set trigger had a recall. The newones did not have as nice of a trigger. I did not have much issues with mine.

Though i did take a 22 cotton brush mop, and smear it with bore paste and clean it out via a power drill. I have found a minute or two of that burnishes the chamber and eases extraction and feeding issues.
