Is that the one I was thinking of when I said Mark III?

Maybe:

22/45 is the version that kind of sort of resembles the use of a 1911, plastic frames and has lots of options.

the MK series now on MKIII are the all steel pistols resembles a Luger to me.

BOTH are super good guns, I just prefer the 22/45....

The Ruger 10/22 is probably the most well know 22 rifle on the market, I have 4. I like it but I like my Remington Model 552 Speedmaster as it takes short, long and long rifle 22 ammo. My all time favorite 22 pistol has to be my Baby AutoMag. (BAM) RIA manufactures a 22/45 1911 which consists of a 22LR top end and also a 45ACP top end. My next rimfire 1911 will be one of the new RIA XT 22 Magnums when available!!

I also have 2 Heritage Arms Rough Rider 22/22 Magnum revolvers which for an inexpensive gun are hard to beat.

As far as a 22 revolver I would also check into an older Dan Wesson 722.

For a suppressed 22 you cannot go wrong with the AWC Amphibian S which is based on a Ruger Mark ll.

Thanks, that's the one! Same family of guns but with 1911 ergonomics ... kinda/sorta.

I have three 10/22's. I have a 22/45. I love them all.

Buy whatever you want. If it were me I'd buy an AR style 22lr rifle or a Buckmaster pistol. As to buying a 22 conversion for your 1911, it appeared to me to be almost the same cost as buying a new 1911 style 22.

Just my opinions of course. I have a Savage 22 I bought for my grandson, which he cannot now have. :-{

I have one of those Gold Cup fake 1911's that's pretty cool.

While it is a neat revo it's just not anything that gets the blood pumping. So... I'm looking for input on which 22 pistol or rifle to purchase and the reason(s) you recommend it or them.. Thanks in advance...

I have the M&P 15-22 carbine and love it so much I bought a second one :D
For pistol, the Browning BuckMark is great, eats anything you give it! Easier takedown than the Ruger MK

Heading down to Nexus shooting today, have a blast with the BuckMark there

Be careful if you buy a 10/22. It is real easy to spend a fortune adding all the cool stuff you can get for them.:D
