Clyde, we're glad you are pleased with your new gun belt. Let us know if we can help, in the future. |
Received my belt from Al yesterday. Great belt, better people.

How much of a difference does a 5 hole to a 7 hole make? Yea, I know.. 2 holes.. Seems there must be some difference or it wouldn't be offered. right?
|
More length for when ya get old and fat?? LOL

I've read where people compare the 5 to 7 holes with switching from IWB to OWB but does the 1/4" difference make that much of a difference? When new the belt should sit in the center of a 5 hole belt.. as long as you measured right. That would be a snug or how I wear my belt today. If going OWB I would guess that's where it would stay? Going IWB I might have to go out another hole? Do people find the 3/4 spacing to provide a more comfortable fit.. I guess that's going to be personal choice? What's the downside to 7 holes? Seem's all of Al's photo's show 5 hole belts. |

I agree with others. Followed Al's advice on 7 hole for IWB and OWB and he was absolutely right. Can't imagine there's a better product, or person to work with, in the market.

I guess I'm resurrecting an old thread, but wanted to chime in about A&G Custom Gun Leather and their belts; I've got 3 and they hold up excellently. Stiff and robust; I wear the black one with my suits. I opted for the 7 holes due to the 3/4" spacing instead of 1", which gives me more finer adjustment. Solid folks over there.
I use 1.25" for dress pants, and 1.5" for casual/jeans. Below: A & G Custom Gun Leather belt, 1.25", 2 layers of 6-7 ounce bull hide, ~.25" thick, round nickel buckle, floral Chicago screws, 7 oblong holes spaced .75" apart. http://mannytau.com/brass/index_htm_files/521.png http://mannytau.com/brass/index_htm_files/522.png |
It's all good. I love my belt from A&G. Been wearing one for several years now.
