I agree...we see alot of people with Concealed Weapons Licenses who don't invest in any training at all. And some actually walk around with pistols! Truth is, a high percentage of people with CWL's don't carry their firearm much, let alone train. Their strength training is considered 12 ounce curls of beer and Conditioning is something you put in your hair to keep it in place.

My home range is the Sonoran Desert. The range I was using doesn't allow it either, but I was given carte blanch on that range with just myself shooting and milkmanjoe and another assisting with filming and targets.

Yup, the 20 degree downtilt and soft ground area in that bay, we had zero splashback. When I shoot those steel targets up in SC we use the same downtilt and a row of bales of hay...24" by 24" by 4'long.....in front of them

That's right, you've got some of those steel targets yourself, might have even been shooting on yours that day, not sure. :cool:

Gave Stephen a half sheet of the steel for whatever he wanted. I think he made himself a gong so far....He made Caryle that cool turkey....we will be looking for a pig/ham for Easter. Hope he has cutting time, plenty of steel left.

We used to do something similar during in-service training. We used paper plates and balloons as targets vs. steel targets. The balloons are a bit more challenging when there's a breeze, as they have a tendency to bounce around.
