Col Mike,

Did you buy, build or a combination of both; that steering wheel holster set-up?

I've been looking at/considering one of these as well for the same reason the Colonel posted earlier...... "Easier than fighting the seatbelt or tight jeans in a crisis situation"

Rich,

Does this set up meet the requirement for concealed, or alternatively "securely encased" ? I like the idea, but not sure it passes muster in Florida.

OK Gents - I'm very happy with my CBOB my Colt Defender my Rock .45 and my S&W E series 45. I also have a Springfield 9mm XDS and A .45 XDS.

However I carry and Idpa shoot exclusively with one of my glocks. I have a G42, G16, Vickers Tactical G17, & G34. All of my Glocks have Olympic triggers with 3.5# triggers. Wouldn't shoot them if they didn't.

Just my Earnest T Bass Opinion!!!!!

Bob

I carry a G21 for the simple reason that if I am ever forced to use deadly force, I know that my weapon will most likely be taken as evidence for a period of time. Let'em take the tupperware gun, but leave my 1911 & Hi Power alone!!!

I think you need to include all plastic pistols, not just Glocks. From what I've seen M&P's and others are Glock clones.

I own (was my daughter's, rest in peace) but do not carry a Glock.

Sorry, if an M&P was a block clone it would be square and ugly and not fit in you hand. An M&P has excellent ergonomics and therefore can not be a block clone.

I have both, 1911, 2011, and Glocks...As a matter of fact, I build Glocks for carry and competition.
I carry now a Glock 43....A great small light gun just fine out of the box and even better after i got done with it. Small, yes, I also have and XDs that I carried for a long time but it is close to a 1# heavier when load wit the same amount.
The G43 will shoot 1.5" -2" groups (depending on ammo and load) with out a bench rest at 50 feet. Even better at 30 feet (I can see the target when it is that close:eek:)

Locks are fine weapons, S&W M&P's are fine weapons and do not get as bad a hit as Glocks do (go figure).

Yep, it is summer time and as I posted on a Glock Forum if I need more than the 7 +1 rounds in my 43 and the 8 rd mag in my other pocket, I am in a lot of trouble, I am reaching for my phone calling HELP as I bend over placing my head between my legs and kissing my butt good by :insane:funnyfunnyfunny

I'm lookin' at the G43......as a new Summer shorts gun for walking/exercising. What did you do to yours?

Good price......some gunstores are charging a premium cause they sell immediately. I have seen full MSRP, and they cannot keep them on the shelf. That will wear off soon enough, probably already has in some areas.

What Did I do to my G43, well lets see...........
I first changed the sights to a set of Amarillo I-Dot sights, then I added a set of Talon Rubber grips, and then I went inside..........
I installed a Ghost Pro Connector and changed the spring in the safety plunger...took the out of the box gun at about 8# trigger pull down to 4.5#'s Nice for everyday carry........
I changed the slide /stop/release to a Vickers extended release........

going out side I changed the base on my mags as follows: Using TTI extensions i put the +1 on the everyday carry in the gun mag giving me 7+1 and added the TTI +2 extension to my other mag that I carry in my pocket giving me 8 rd's. These extensions are expensive, but I believe the best on the market and not plastic.

My holsters are made by Multi holsters (see the internet for ordering) and are super comfy.

Then you are ready to go.........
Enjoy.........

But this is a G17 that feels like a 1911, points like a 1911 and shoots like a 1911

Someone point me to a story about a PD that found cracks in half of their 1911s, or half of their Sigs...

http://www.wdrb.com/story/29078319/b...-defects-found

Quote:

Dangerous defects were found on the guns that Bardstown Police Officers carry with them on a daily basis.

Hairline fractures appeared on 12 guns, which were immediately taken out of commission. That's nearly half of the weapons of the 27-man department and Captain Tom Roby says it's a serious concern.

“At one point the gun would actually fall apart,” said Cpt. Roby.

The issue was discovered on the Glock model 23s during recent training practices. Those guns were purchased back in 2000.
