Glock Long Slide Part 2
 

OK so starting on the top end now. Posted some pics of the new slide on the frame. Gets me going on what is next. I really like the way it looks and feels. Can't wait to shoot it...someday..... I was going to color the slide black but I changed my mind on that too. I like the silver on it so going to keep it the way it is.


I started a new thread, the other was long and getting out of hand and off topic. Had to get myself to refocus.

Looking good Phil. I say, leave it silver or hard chrome it.

yeah, I even considered having LW polishing it. But for a range gun it would just get beat up and then it would drive me nuts to have the scratches and marks so I will leave it alone, the look is good.

Have you given the sights any more thought

The front sight is no problem, OM me your address and I will send you a tool for it,
The rear sight, you should really have a sight tool to push one on (mush better than using a brass punch and Hammer).

No, I am still debating on sights. Just can't decide it will probably be the last thing I put on the gun so I have time.

Thanks! I do have both sight tools. I purchased them when I put night sights on my G20. Both very handy tools.

Thanks i just ordered the rest of the small parts this morning so i might have a 80% done gun by next weekend. Coming along now.

Got the small parts in today. Hoping to get to play with them this weekend.

Getting close now but budget is pretty thin. All I need is sights/optics that I still have no idea what I am going to do and the barrel. I will have to let my budget recover before I can get any more parts....so close now. Spring just around the corner cant wait to get to the range again!

Well, it will be a little while now. Budged is thin and I need sights and barrel yet. So maybe another month now to scratch enough $$$ together for the barrel. I might have a decision on sights by then too......

I do not. Have not thought that far ahead. It's complete just need to buy the barrel. Soon as budget catches up i will get it ordered and finished. Why do you ask bud?

I have a Blade-Tec (I think it's this brand) shooter's holster kit for a g17 I won several years ago. New in packaging, never used. I can sell it to you for $150..........:p No seriously, you can have it for free if you want it. I'll never use it, I'm a M&P guy. :D Let me know and I'll send it your way. Should fit the long slide cause it's open on the bottom.
