Holster Delays...
I was trying to get a bunch of stuff - including the world famous Dave Waits Avenger - finished before leaving town for a little vacation with the wife. Unfortunately, we've had some family issues pop up that have pulled me away from the dungeon.
My wife's little sister was in the final weeks of a pregnancy when things started going bad, and they induced labor early to spare her life. The baby was born successfully, but is having issues with lungs that aren't fully developed. This started last Wednesday/Thursday - at this point, mother is doing much better, but baby had to be air lifted to a children's hospital. Last we heard, he's doing better but at the top of our prayer list. If my little internet family of COTEPians wouldn't mind adding baby James Collins to their prayer, we'd greatly appreciate it. And, please forgive me for not getting the holsters shipped - I promise they will be top priority when we return home. Lane |
Thanks for the Up Date Lane, Prayers and Thoughts for mother and child..............

On my list Lane!
Father God, Lord of all creation, we thank you for the miracle of birth, and for the challenges and joys of raising a child. In our natural state of imperfection Lord, we know that sometimes things go wrong. We hurt, we age, our bodies break down. Help us to praise you in the desert places of our lives as well as in the good places. This morning, we are presented with James Collin, an infant with very special needs that we can't provide for. The Doctors will work with the resources and skills that you have provided them, but James needs more. And so we lift James up to you this morning, an innocent child who is loved by all around him. And by extension Lord, we love him too. We ask you to place a hedge of protection around him, guide the Doctor's and nurses hands carefully, place wisdom in their minds, and compassion in their hearts. Bring this child back safely to his parents, and let him live a life full of love, compassion and honor. May your will always be done. We ask this in the name of The Father who created us, His Son who Saved us, and His Holy Spirit who carries us. Amen. |
Amen.

Thank you again for all the prayers - with the exception of a feeding tube, all other non-standard plumbing and wiring has been removed. The little bugger is coming along nicely. He's still got a ways to go (approx 2 weeks) until he can nurse normally. At that point, he'll be headed home.
I thank you all again for the support. Lane |
PICTURES!!!! Lane... we want PICS!! Glad to hear James is doing well.
DaFadda |
This is great news. Babies have great resilience. I know because our oldest son came out with the umbilical cord around his neck (blue baby). We almost lost him but he pulled through and till this day (he just turned 21) the boy never gets sick. I know everything will turn out great for James too.
