Anyone have the Work Sharp knife sharpener, my friend gave me a knife that needs some work done on it. It is around 40 or so yrs old and I dont have the experience using a grinder etc on a knife blade. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have one and they work with practice. However, stop it BEFORE you get to the end of the blade, or you will round off the tip . Also, when you get done, the edge will be convex. Just the way it is

Been out of town for about a week a fellow Vet and good friend of mine died from Agent Orange Friday morning. He will be buried with full military honors at his local federal cemetery this Wednesday.

Havent bought one he gave me a knife he had made while in country, the blade is beat up and it needs to be ground down properly. Was looking for someone who could do it for me without ruining it.
