Not a DW, but still, I like it! SIG Nitron 1911 Super Target
I don't know the MSRP. I've seen from $1649 to $2055 and the street prices of $1499 and $1599 for the stainless and one Nitron that went so fast I hardly blinked. It was on GB for a few seconds at $1299 then was taken down. I suspect it sold locally or they decided they could get more for it and took the ad down.
Here are some rather less than stellar pictures. I didn't do anything to the gun and these were taken on the floor without any light tent, just room lighting. I also didn't do anything to the gun; didn't wipe it down with oil or anything, so, it's as it came out of the plastic. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-W...IG%2BSTGT2.JPG https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-K...IG%2BSTGT3.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-H...IG%2BSTGT4.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-o...IG%2BSTGT5.JPG https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-j...IG%2BSTGT6.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-z...IG%2BSTGT7.JPG https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-m...IG%2BSTGT8.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-v...IG%2BSTGT9.JPG |

not saying anything wrong with the external just goes against the grain for me....just can't bring myself to do it.

Turns out the MSRP is now posted......
The MSRP is $1690 for what that's worth. SIG finally has the gun listed, in it's Nitron version, on their WEB site. The stainless version is still nowhere to be found on the site. This even though they seem to be more available. I paid considerably less for it, $1275 at my LGS.
Then, of course you have to pay the state and the town for the privelege of spending your money after you have also paid them, the state at least, for the privelege of earning you money and also paid the town for the privelege of living there and so on. That part does add up a bit. |

Very Nice!
And external extractors don't bother me at all, love my Sig 1911 Carry in Stainless! |

Went to the range today!
Went to the range today.
I disassembled the gun and lubed it with Slide Glide. At the range I ran 150 rounds of American Eagle through it. 1. The gun was 100% from the first round to the last. There was not even a hint of a malfunction with either gun or magazines. 2. I have astigmatism, am near sighted and seem to have an issue with left and right eye dominence, so the fiber optic sights while easy to see, were difficult for me in terms of the sight picture. I no wearing my reading glasses so the sight plane was not clear. Having said that, the gun was very accurate. 3. I did have to adjust the sights. I'm not sure if they are zeroed at all by SIG or, if they are, to what distance. The rear sight was "sticky" went attempted to adjust it UP/DOWN However, with a little effort I was able to free it and adjust it. The LEFT/RIGHT was fine. I'm going to take it out again with the right glasses and start closer in, so I can determine the right sight picture. I'm very satisfied with the gun. It's operation was smooth as glass, trigger was crisp and it handled extremely well with the Nill grips. |
