Great job, My dad does this as well. He puts all the flags out in my home town. If I am not working I usually go help him out. Didnt work out this year but in the morning I will lower the flag to half staff and Kaden and I will to attend our local program.

1/2 flag is a governors declaration every year hear. 1/2 starting at 0800 back up to full staff at 1505 after the silence....

Spent the day participating in a Honor Guard tribute event at local Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Full honors were rendered, gun salutes and Taps played. Many reefs laid and Flags planted. American Legion Riders ride followed.

Then I came home and watched Band of Brothers from start to finish.

A great day of Remembrance and reflection.

Good deal Guys.

My day was spent with my mom at the memory care unit of her assisted living facility, she has Alzheimer's. We had a very nice cookout and I spent time with the veterans that are there also. Even though they are not really aware of what is taking place they did serve their time and it made me feel really good talking with them. You would be surprised, most do not remember what happened 2 minutes ago but they can remember their time in service!!
