In Honor of my Dad

My dad loved this Country, He loved it so much that he Dedicated 27 years of his life Defending it, He Defended it with Honor and Passion, He did 3 tours in Vietnam. As most Vets, He didn't talk much about Nam the bits and pieces I would hear was when his Nam buddies were around.

I lost My Dad on 29 Aug 1997, At the age of 61, That day was the only time my wife saw me shed a tear, I lost my best friend and HERO that day, and now some 15 years later ( as of next weds) I still think of him EVERY day and Miss him.

Thanks Dad for help mold me into the man I am today. I LOVE YOU!!!!

1Sgt Ed Lovell (Airborne/Ranger) R.I.P

Ed, words are beside me....RIP Ed W. Lovell Jr.

All pics of my dad when he was in the service, were lost when our house burnt down in the early 70's.

Ed, you will always have those memories of your dad, never forget that my friend. I lost my dad December 17th 1984, he was 67. He put 30 years in the Navy, retired and then another 18 years with the USPS. Retired and passed a year later.

My dad was also my best friend, he could do anything that he set his mind to.

Those pictures you posted make me want to go thru his pictures once again.

Rest in Peace: John P. DeBeasso

For you AR guys, If you notice the AR15/M4 that dad has in his hand (picture of him about to board chopper) That has the Adjustable stock and short barrel, looks to be a 14.5 inch or shorter.

I didn't know they had that style of AR back then.

I'll be posting more pics soon, if no one minds? (got a new printer, scanner just want to plat with it :D)
