Feinstein is locked and loaded.

The good thing is, this ain't getting out of the Senate. And they didn't pass their filibuster bill so it'll take 60 votes to pass this.
|
Hate to make predictions, but I don't think this flies.

Living in NY you can imagine how gun shy I am. No pun intended.

Jim, I hope you all survive this mess, at least until the courts can declare it UNconstitutional

Thx Ron. Last Monday, before he signed the SAFE Act, I called and spoke with someone in my State District Rep, State Senator, Gov. Cuomo, U.S. Senator Schumer offices. U.S. Sen. Gildebrand's office was not taking calls.
Without exception, everyone I spoke with said they were being bombarded with calls and those opposed to new laws, regulations or registrations far outnumbered the supporters. |
They therefore enacted new laws, that makes sence, NOT!

Watch Mitch McConnell..he agreed to suspend the filibuster under certain conditions..don't let your guard down
|
As it stands right now in the Senate, there are 5 Dems who said they will vote against it and 1 Republican who said he will vote for it. That makes it 51-49 in favor right now, but there are 2 things working against it:
1. There are another 4-5 Dems who are waffling about it. 2. 60 votes are needed to break a filibuster Even if by some miracle it managed to pass the Senate, it's DOA in the House. There likely wouldn't even be a vote on it. |
Don't count on McCain. Or some of the yankee Repubs
