 Removing scratches from stainless pistol

Have bought a used 2011 brushed stainless Valor with a number of scratches. Can you tell me how to remove them. Thanks!

Depends on stainless finish, if brushed, I have used fine steel wool and Scotch Brite. There are different grades of SB but all I have is household green.
Some cases I used steel wool first ad SB second and sometimes the reverse. Whichever matches finish best. I hesitated for a long time and figured it could not look worst. Been happy with 4 or 5 I have done. Couple were idiot marks on used guns and now they are gone. Smoother finishes are harder to blend and usually finer steel wool is last (and maybe a bit of Flitz). |

Find a local machine shop and get it bead blasted. Problem solved.

Be careful with scotch brite and steel wool. You can polish the finish.

funny, only reason I care to "fix" the scratch is because, I'm thinking of selling it. Plus, I did nit do it so, it doesnt count. Lol....
I figured SB might be too abrasive and so would mothers polish. It's got a bead blast look on it. |

You just had to type my name, didn't you? funny
