The problem for me....
....is that I don't want a .380 in my pocket. I really don't want a gun in my pocket for that matter. It seems there is a matter of diminishing returns as the pocket guns get smaller and the calibers...

Here it is in a Kramer holster....
I'm not sure if this is the cowhide with horsehide trim or all horsehide. It seems pretty thick and stiff. I'm thinking horsehide. Don't know if it is a #2 or #3. At any rate, bought it slightly...

Found this at my LGS for a reasonable price. Come to find out it's a very early model, manufactured in November 1995. The company premiered their guns at the 1994 Shot Show and started shipping in...

I've heard similar testimonials.....
I can't say I like the look of the P07 much, nor do I like polymer guns much either. I've owned a few and sold them all with one exception, a SIG Pro 2340 I currently own. I've owned and sold a...

Barrel Bushing
The bushing to which I was referring was the barrel bushing. Sorry for the lack of precision.

Rescue guns are some of the best.....
I bought a Colt DE for $400. The gun may not have been rode hard, but definitely put up wet. It had been stored for years in a holster. The finish was all but gone and the slide was pitted. Well...

Err on the side of caution.....
I suppose, given the attitude of many 1911 aficionados and the history of the design, it may have been deemed wise to take the conservative route and stick with the internal extractor.
You're...

I remember the Kimber debacle....
It was part consternation that they would change the traditional design and part the dismal failure of the design.
SIG has not been without their issues with their extractors mostly on the...

DW and internal or external extractors
I know this can be a matter of heated debate. There are the purists that would not buy a 1911 with an external extractor. There are arguments as to which is better, more reliable, more durable,...

Everyone has an opinion....
....and that's great!
1. The gun won't sell for $2K, it'll be less, more like $1800 probably, especially after the initial offering. People keep saying, I wouldn't pay $2K for that gun.... you...

As was mentioned earlier.....
It's in keeping with the prices of the higher end DW 1911s. DW has offerings spread out from $1298 MSRP for the Heritage, up to $2023 or so for the Valor and Valkyrie. Then there are the really high...

How different?
That's the point, it's not that different, BUT it's in 10mm which you can't get in a Valor except as custom.
I haven't seen a list of parts but I expect they are Valor quality.

Dan Wesson Silverback 10mm
Found this on 1911forum. Word is February 2015 with an MSRP of $2095 which will put it in the same ballpark as the Valor and VBOBs with the duty treatment.

I actually thought briefly about doing this, but then thought better of it. Now that I see that is the recommended solution, I'll give it a try. I don't always trust my own ideas. Don't ask me...

Went to the range today!
Went to the range today.
I disassembled the gun and lubed it with Slide Glide. At the range I ran 150 rounds of American Eagle through it.
1. The gun was 100% from the first round to the last....
