I decided to try out one of those plugs a member on 1911forum was making and selling in the WTB threads for $9.99. He right now only offers them in s.s., in commander or government, and either bead-blasted or polished.
I ordered a commander model in polished, and have to say, it is a very well machined and awesomely polished part. If you are in the market, I highly recommend one. The big forum removed his thread, but you can find them here:
