Sad thing is that "red skin" was originally applied to a tribe on the east coast because they colored their skin with red ocher.

"Indian" is also a misnomer and some consider a slur, but I recently found out that some tribes have taken the name.

If we become more sensitive to anything, you're correct, we will end up with someone objecting to "Bears", "Lions", "Cowboys", etc.

This has got to stop.
