Vets please email S&W

Calling all veterans. S&W has a rebate campaign for all active duty, retired and wounded veterans who buy their M&P products.

This is a great thing.

But what has me irked is that they are excluding veterans like myself who served but did not retire or get injured. Why is that?

Here is a copy of an email that I sent to them last night and I urge you to do the same if you are in the boat like me. I'm not looking for a handout, but I feel we shouldn't be left out either.

If you are a retiree, injured or just a civilian that would like to support this, please email them also!

I see you guys are offering the "Nation's Finest" rebate, http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/w...7_757797_image,
again for active military, retirees and disabled veterans. I salute and thank you for this.

But I have some questions/concerns:

1) What about us veterans that didn't serve at least 20 yrs for retirement?
2) What if we didn't sustain disabling injuries?
3) Are we not still thought of as part of the "Nation's finest"?
4) Curious as to why we are left out?

I know life isn't always fair, but to exclude veterans that did serve their country proudly and that buy your guns, but didn't retire or get injured/disabled is just wrong if you ask me.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable 'To My Country' for an amount "up to and including my life."

Actually, I kinda agree with you, I was just making waves. BUT, I think we need a sort of classification.......not for Military discounts or anything Military related.....but a classification of civilians that might be just a notch or two outside of Military. People like me who never served but still devote time and money to our Military. People who shouldn't be lumped in with the people who have no knowledge of our Military, or don't care about our Military, or hate/dislike our Military. Patriots who never served. Did I make any sense? I think that if unrest came I would be an asset to , not a target or a liability. But so far the only title I have earned is:
Rottenmotherfu*kahwhowouldkillanythingjusttoeatit. .....and while I don't mind that title it's a little long for my chest pocket. So I do agree that people who never left home, never lived under Military law, are "just civilians", I would like to be the best "just civilian". I don't know why I am telling you all this. Can you please tell me who on COTEP can get the discount you can't so I can make a purchase through them?
