New VBOB owner from NC
Hey folks. I just bought my 1st 1911, from a member here Wade-19. I saved for a little over a year, and at several points almost just settled for something that costed less but I could have NOW! But I waited, and just as soon as I had enough saved up to buy a new black VBOB, Wade popped up with one for sale. This one started off life as a stainless model. Wade had the following work done: Hard Hat finish, flush cut the slide stop and bevel frame, flush cut the barrel, Fit EGW monogram bushing and plug. I haven't fired it yet, but will Sunday. I hope you guys like it.

No sir, I had perused it when seeing COTEP on signature lines on other forums. Then when I bought this one, I saw the grips... and thought it was only right I sign up and show her off.

Well, I saw no better place than this to tell about myself.
My name is Chip Bridges, I'm 42 years old. I own a retail pet store that I opened 4 years ago. I work 6 10 hour shifts a week, and try to shoot every Sunday. The above pistol is my 1st 1911, but I have been shooting and tinkering with guns since I was young. I particularly enjoy shooting rimfire. I'll post some of my projects in an appropriate thread. I am owned by two bulldogs. Here's my ugly mug:  I'll post a range report on my Vbob next week.
