A few years ago I responded to man with a gun call where the suspect was pointing said gun at people.
As I rolled up with my partner we see a young male with what looked to be an MP5. We jumped pointed our firearms at him. Fortunately when we rolled up it was pointing down and he immediately dropped it. Turned out to be an airsoft rifle painted to look like a real thing.   Just recalling the incident still gets my heart rate up.
