FYI get the 44mag try to avoid the .357. They have issues cycling, they have a reputation for this. some guys get them they work perfect and some guys get them and they never cycle right at all.

Good luck...enjoy!!

FYI if its the shiney brass, it would not be a great woods rifle because it would stick out like a sore thumb.....just my opinion!
It's a cartridge carrier adjustment, not that big a deal to correct. Usually the right side of the carrier is the culprit.

Out of the box with no scope are really accurate, if just for the range and if you don't reload I would look at 22 ZLR or 17 HMR.

.357 for me, but only because I already reload for that caliber... and of course... you can shoot 38's too.

Da

The manual says to not shoot 38spl that is below 158gr because it will cause feed failures. I'll just have to play around and see what it likes.

Yours may balk at the 38's on loading [ depending on the bullet head shape ]. it may run em slicker than snot. It's a crap shoot. The cartidge carrier can be adjusted to the 38's but I stick strictly to 357's in my Rossi/

If you shoot 38 in it, make sure you clean the ring left in the chamber as it can interfere with loading 357 afterward.
