So should a baker be forced to make a same sex wedding cake if they don’t agree with same sex marriage? Seems very parallel to me.

But a restaurant serving food to someone is simply allowing that person to eat. It is in no way endorsing or participating in any activity that is contrary to their beliefs...unless they believe that people they disagree with should starve to death. ![]()

Also saying the Sanders party will starve to death is a bit of exaduration. I am sure they were properly fed at another restaurant that was grateful for their business.

The Baker's religion forbad same sex people from getting married. Baking a wedding cake for a same sex marriage was participating in the marriage of same sex people. I'm sure they would have no problem just baking a regular cake for anyone of any persuasion. For the restaurant case to be the same, the restaurant owner would have to belong to a religion that taught that it was somehow immoral for members of the Trump Administration to eat (starvation is the result of not eating), and so selling food to a member of the Trump Administration was participating in an immoral activity. If the baker had to refused to sell an ordinary cake to gay people, or the restaurant had refused to cater to a Republican event, then there could be a case for saying they were parallel (but still not the same since one involved religious beliefs and the other simply involved irrational political hatred.)

Actually they went across the street where Red Hen followers followed and harassed them there.

She was Forced to resign !
"After kicking White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders out of her restaurant, Stephanie Wilkinson, has been forced to step down as Executive Director Main Street Lexington organization. Wilkinson is a co-owner of the Red Hen restaurant, and up until she kicked out Sanders, was well-respected in her community. Her resignation came over email from the President of her local board who stated: “Considering the events of the past weekend, Stephanie felt it best that for the continued success of Main Street Lexington, she should step aside.” https://westvirginia.forums.rivals.c...zation.176404/
