Looks like good work Marine. That is going to be a good looker for sure. I'll bet it gives you great satisfaction that it is yours.

What did your DI used to say? There are many like it but this one is mine? Not so you made this one unique.

thanks Bill

I wanted a CCO real-bad lol.....and couldnt budget one in right now, so I scrounged up a top-end and ran with it from there. To me, it's the perfect carry size 1911. I wanted a rugged, all-steel carry gun that could take whatever I put it through....so Im glad I just built one instead of saving up. No aluminum, no plastic....and no large, snagging safeties...something not found on current offerings.

Nice piece SF, these builds can run into money, looks like you ran out before you could buy grip-screws. If you need a set, I have some spares.

hehe thanks for the kind offer Dave!.....but the Chief is looking for some screws right now in the WTB section, so any spares should go to him first. I had to take a hiatus on the build until the semester ends because of time constraints. I dont even have any bushings installed yet either....I just havent the time until mid-May to tear back into it lol

I've always wanted to build my own but fear that being a perfectionist would cost me waaaaaayyyyy too much money. Plus I have no idea what tools I would need to invest in....and time is always an issue.
