Thanks for the review... well stated, and I agree with every point you made.

There's definitely a theme here, RIA make's a very nice gun at a very good price.

Yes, they do manufacture a very fine firearm for the price point!!

But like I always tell everyone interested in buying one, please do not get the impression that you are getting the fit and finish as on a $1000.00 and up 1911. You are getting a good quality 1911 for the money that goes bang every time you pull the trigger, if not you make use of the lifetime warranty on the firearm, which by the way is on the firearm not the original purchaser!!

Great review.

Only point I would make a comment on is that I like running gun grease on the the rails and the surface behind the breach. Never had a problem with a Rock when doing this.

Rock's are very good and solid 1911's.

Mike, I also like using grease on those three points. In this case, the frame/slide fit was almost as tight as on my DW CCO. So during the break in period, I'm using oil only, and keeping the gun wet during shooting. After 500 with no FTE FTF's... (only 400 to go), I'll go back to using a grease on the slide.
