About 98% of the Commercial ammo is not safe to shoot in your garand, too much port-pressure. Damages Op-Rods and sometimes, Bolts.

FYI - Just today got notice from the Newsletter that the CMP is selling .308 Garands now, "Special Grade" at a cost of $995 + $24.95 S&H per rifle...
