Thanks Doc. Just what I wanted. Classic looks in a pistol I can trust day in day out, and someday when my hands are too feeble, hand it over to Sean, who already has his eyes on it

Nice gun Tom, how did Navman break the Mainspring Housing? Is he going to fix it?

SWEET! I so want a custom build. Is it a sin to covet thy fellow forum members gun? lol.

That's what eventually got me to my own custom. Go for it!

I'm thinking about whether these grips are tough enough for daily carry or if I should save them for when I need a "Duty BBQ Gun". Range days? Meet-ups?

What do you guys think?

Tom
Hey Tom, I know I've said it already, but that pistol looks great!

As far as wear on the scrimshaw, yes, they will wear some, but not quickly, especially if you keep some wax or other sealer on them. If they ever need retouching, just let me know. Same for anyone else with a pair of grips I've done.

ETA: How do you like the flat trigger?

Thanks, Jason. You're a good part of the effort to get it there.

I've got Renaissance Wax on them as per your recommendations, and if/when they wear, I'll send them on back for retouching.

As to the flat trigger, this is my first pistol with one. I did a fair amount of dry firing with another before deciding to give it a try. Turns out I like it a lot. Doesn't matter where your finger is on that trigger when you draw, it always feels the same.

It took some getting used to, but I won't go back to a curved trigger any more, and will likely have my other guns changed over time.
