I've been carrying a Nitecore light for years.

It's small, light, bright, and bulletproof.

In my mind you couldn't have done better.

Good review, thanks Alex!

Interesting! I did a small experiment myself a while back. I keep a three D-cell smallhead Maglight by the nightstand. I put new Duracell Batteries and a new Krypton Bulb in it. Focused the head to a narrow beam and then compared it to my Surefire E1E 'Executive-Elite' with a two position LED head. While the Maglight was bright and well-focused, the Surefire was brighter at the same distance on the high side. Now, the color was closer in my test but that may well be the Krypton Bulb.

Great review. Only advantage the old fullsize maglights had was being able to beat someone senseless with one when shooting them wasn't an option. These new little lights do a better job illuminating

Do you think that this light would work well as a weapon mounted light? I'm guessing that it doesn't have any anti-shock built into the design but I like the size, weight and output of this little flashlight.

I'm not sure. The only smooth place for a mount is way up front. I supose it may work if it fit and you could find a mount the right size.

I have a ring mount that is probably too wide for the centermost stationary part of the light.

This is the last light I've gotten, It's a Fenix PD32 UE. I really like it, it's my nightstand light now.
