Keep an eye on the runoff election in Mississippi. Chris McDaniel had a narrow plurality over Thad Cochran in the primary. I know Thad, he lived down the street when he was elected to the House. I even babysat his kids on occasion. He kept in touch with the people while in the House, but as soon as he was elected to the Senate, for all intents and purposes he was no longer a Mississippian, but a D.C.ite.

The thinking is that all the votes against Cochran in the primary will still be against him in the runoff.

I'm seeing that Al Brat, who beat Cantor, will be running un-opposed. Hmmmm.
