I am a novice knife maker. Here are the first knives I have made from Nicholson files. The two on the left are neck knives; the three on the right are boot knives.
![]() From left to right: Butterscotch Micarta, African Paduak, Purpleheart; African Paduak, Bloodwood with brass spacer Black linen Micarta, Cocobolo; Black linen Micarta, Bloodwood; Black Walnut You can see that I like to mix materials/color of wood (it's becoming a bit of a trademark of sorts). I apologize for the black appearance of some of the blades but they are so highly polished they just reflect light. ![]()
