My story sounds boring after Shark's. I've worked in publishing of one type or another for more than 20 years. I started in newspapers, then in publishing software, then book publishing production, and now I run a book publisher for a large conservative media company, focusing on politics, healthcare, and financial investing.

I'm retired from Fo.Mo.Co. I was in quality control for the majority of that time and was a test driver for the GT program for a couple of years as well.
Ford GT (40):  Stayed retired from Fo.Mo.Co. for approx 6 months or so, got bored quickly, and then went to work for Porsche as a test driver for them, been at this job for 6yrs or so now. Porsche 911 (GT3):

I'm a Machinist, I work for Toyota Bodine, we cast all the engine blocks and automatic transmission housings for Toyota Motor Co. I maintain the dies for the high speed injection moulding machines.
