And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. |

Guys (and
![]() It isn't just kids whose parents choose not to immunize who are at risk. There are kids who for medical reasons cannot receive certain vaccines. Their risk of infection is increased if a greater percentage of the (kid) population chooses not to vaccinate. There is also risk to babies who are too young to have received the full course of the vaccines, and are therefore still at risk of infection from these "chooser" kids. By way of example, the measles vaccine is not recommended until the age of 12 months. Where do kids whose parents choose not to vaccinate run when their little darling is ill? To the pediatrician. Who else is in the waiting room? Tiny little tykes who've not yet had all their vaccinations. It can be a big problem. I understand the individual/parent's right argument. But, choosing not to vaccinate your kid is borne of ignorance. IMHO (feel free to disagree) these parents are typically selfish, me-first and-to-heck-with-the-rest-O'you types as well.
