At a knife show in Michigan around 2005 or so Roger "Mudbone" Jones walked up to my wife and I and said both of you give me a penny. OK we did and Roger handed both my wife and I a handmade knife, made from a file. He said its tradition that when someone gives you a knife you give them a penny.
Never for sale, here's mine:
