I change the batteries on my locks twice a year, needed or not. Much better than finding corrosion on a $80 lock's electronics. Coordinated with my smoke dectector battery change. Easy to remember.

I don’t know that. I’ll see if I can look that up. It takes 4 AA batteries. But it has a key backup.
