I have a Bushmaster with a 1/9 twist and have been using Federal 55gr.
After learning that twist is better for heavier rounds i will go to the 60-70 gr rounds. Might be a better round for hog hunts. Ed |

Man... I knew I read a decent article on this somewhere recently. Maybe it's in this months American Rifleman. I'll see if I can find it. In the meantime, here's a good web article on the subject.

,that was very informative!I planned on going out today to experiment with different weights but the wind is blowing 30-40mph.Not very condusive to accuracy with light bullets.

. It's very timely for me, since I just bought a CZ527 Varmint in .223 Rem. I'm prepping brass like a mad man, and the info in that article will give me some good starting loads to try when I get my rifle out of jail (Kalifornia has a 10 day waiting period).Randall |
