I make well more than 50k and I don't mind paying my 'fair' share of taxes.
To clarify, when corporations making billions of profit pay less annual tax than I do, and I'm not talking percentage I am talking total dollars, I get a little upset because I feel I am not being taxed 'fairly'. I don't have money to buy a senator to reduce my tax burden like the uber corporations and ultra wealthy. I also want my tax dollars to go to things that I think are prudent. There should be a form included on your tax return with a line item for every government program and what percentage of your taxes you want to go to that program. The only problem is that form would be 150000 pages with all the programs we have now. It would be easy to fill out though because most of them would be filled out with a big GOOSE EGG on my return.
