When I was still in High School, my Dad took up woodworking. Additionally, he was a lifetime railroad man. In the old days, tickets were hung vertically inside lockable cabinets based on the number of stops.. a ticket for each stop as I remember. As technology progressed, these cabinets were no longer needed and he was able to acquire one. We worked on it and made it into a gun cabinet of sorts. Below are two pictures, one with the cabinet closed and one open with some weapons on display. It's a fond memory.

The challenge coins are great, I am trying to get my collection started again. I have some of my dad's from his 30 years in the Navy but I seemed to have misplaced them in the move of my mom to my sisters house. I did locate all of his medals and awards though. I am getting a coin this weekend from a SEAL friend of mine.
