$30 is about right for 231, over here. Just got an email that Midway has IMR4227 on hand. I think that is mostly for magnum or rifle loads but can be used for pistol if ya got the knowhow.

W231 but haven't seen it in a while. Don't have a pressing need for more so I will wait. I also use Trailboss for 38-40 WCF loads but have been seeing more and more loads for it for more standard calibers like .38, .45 and such. I find H110 at the show I went to and they had a bunch. I used it for 300 Blackout. I haven't seen any AR powder and have put off buying a set of 5.56 dies because of that. No since in getting the dies till I have powder to load in it.

Used to use 231 but moved to WST decades ago. It's cleaner burning. Haven't looked for powder in years, no longer reload.

Default Hand Gun Powders

Over the years I have settled on Solo 1000 and Solo 1250 for all of my handgun loads, except for a few rounds with either H110 or 296 for the hot magnum stuff.

Of course it looks like Solo 1250 is going, or gone by now, but Solo 1000 is still used by some shot gun shooters so it is still available.

I'm too darn old to start experimenting with new loads again.

Done deal........if you find any 231 above what you need feel free to spend $100 of my money on it, I'll pay up instantly. No pressure intended, just in your travels. , pony up.

**** I actually do this with just a few people, has worked well for years.
