Maybe it's just me but I am not too partial to engravings. I can appreciate the artistry but for me I like the smooth clean lines. Love the wood grips on it!

I have the original grips that came on it.

I put those boot grips on myself. Matter of fact, my other S&W now has the same grips on it, as well.

If one day I have nothing else gun related I want to buy, I might have one of the Detective Specials I just picked up engraved. However, I think I'm quite a way off from that day

I'd heard that M&Ps are rumored to be promiscuous. You can stop it, Ell, by storing them in condoms. Use lubed ones and presto, corrosion protection, too.
