What?? I thought they were going to bring back the 1911? Based on my childhood... it IS the ONLY true "Army gun".... But... I'm glad our troops won't be carrying Glock. I'm still nervous about polymer guns, especially in the heat of the desert. This video was from a summer's day in Texas. The gun is an FNX.

A gun is a tool, no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.

I don't think going to a polymer wonder is a bad thing. They are lighter and believe it or not, can withstand abuse. Time will tell if the 320 will last in the Army's hands. I hope it serves them well.

I don't have one bit of difficulty with it at the range. Granted, that's not battlefield conditions, but...

When I was in (mech infantry, gunner) only officers carried a pistol. The rest of us lugged around M-16's or the SAW. Me being in the turret I still carried a SAW... dunno why but I did.

Most likely going to be for Rangers or Spec Ops but, I don't really see them using the modularity the 320 offers. Especially the caliber portion of it. Plus, why would they go to the 40? They already have the 45 and 9 in tons of stock.
